Last Thursday we started sewing our Medieval costumes. The girls made head pieces while the boys made tunics. First, we got some needles and thread and learnt how to thread the needles. Then we watched Helen (Tommy's mum) do a sewing demonstration before we started to sew our own ones.
Some of us got muddled up but luckily we had some fabulous parent helpers who rescued us. Some of us poked our fingers and Liam even sewed his tunic to the carpet! The girls didn't get to finish their head pieces because theirs were more challenging. The girls will have their second session tomorrow to finish their work off.
